Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis)*: Jojoba is a natural plant wax produced by the seeds of a desert shrub. The seeds, brimming with stored moisture, are collected and cold-pressed to release a liquid similar to our skins sebum. Because jojoba is a plant wax and not an oil, it does not go rancid and is used in our skincare products to maintain maximum shelf life and potency. It provides phytonutrients to the skin while blending in effortlessly, leaving no oily residue behind. Jojoba is the ultimate moisturizer, and delivers long-lasting skin conditioning. It forms the base of our beauty oils due to its abundance of phytonutrients, antioxidants, and vitamin E.

Frankincense EO (Boswellia rivae)†: This precious, complexion-calming essential oil is like heaven in a bottle. It is exceptional at toning and rejuvenating the skin, with a particular affinity for repairing skin damage. It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory qualities, which make it useful for healing wounds, sunburns, acne, and rosacea. This wonderful-smelling wild-harvested plant is one of the only remaining Frankincense species to be sustainably harvested, with strict regulations set in place for havesting and preservation (read more about declining plant species and the oils we choose to protect in our blog post here).

Peppermint EO (Mentha piperita)*: Peppermint essential oil helps to balance sebum (the skin’s natural oil) production while providing a powerful dose of antiseptic and antimicrobial action to keep breakouts at bay.
